We ran the stores first. Then we built the discount engine.

We have run Shopify stores of our own, so we know what a promotion costs when nobody can prove what it did. The rules we needed did not exist in the native editor, the workarounds put pricing logic in the browser, and every sale ended with the same question: how many orders did that discount actually touch, and can we prove it? We built xDiscount so the answer comes from Shopify's own signed orders instead of from an argument.

One record, read by both sides. Every discount lives in a single product metafield, written only by our own validated action. The Shopify Function that prices the cart at checkout and the storefront offer card that shows the shopper the deal read that same record, and nothing is written by the browser. On top of that sit four discount types, a rules engine with item quantity, cart value and inventory conditions, and analytics built on Shopify-signed orders.

The Function fails closed, so an unknown rule or a malformed record produces no discount rather than a wrong one. Anything a connected assistant creates is forced to draft at the model layer, not in the interface, and publish, unpublish, archive and delete are flagged destructive so your client asks you first. You choose which assistant to connect, Claude, ChatGPT, or another, and you can revoke or regenerate the key at any time from Settings.

xDiscount comes from the same team as xBundle, which is live on the Shopify App Store. xDiscount prices the product, xBundle builds the set. Down the road the two connect, so one engine decides what a product is worth today and the other decides what it ships alongside.
